We use inks made by people in the industry that have stood the test of time and have proven to work. There is a lot of junk ink out there that many amateur tattoo artists use. This is something we don’t like to give specifics about on the internet on this kind of forum. We would be more than happy to talk about it in detail in person. If you are worried about the type of ink you are getting in your tattoo I have this advice. Look for a tattooist who has been working for longer than 5 years, who works in a shop that has been in business for at least 5-10 years and who has a minimum tattoo price of at least $60+. Of course there are exceptions to this, but it’s a good guideline for those who don’t know much about the industry.

As much as we appreciate you telling people to go to another piercing shop on our website, Rubin’s has been closed for over two after they were arrested for tattooing and piercing minors.

I live in Rocklin and will be travelling to SF on business March 26 – 30 and would like to get a tattoo while I am there. I would like to set an evening appointment and do the consultation either via email or on the phone. Is this possible? I have a design in mind that i would like to work with an artist on.

When do you think it would be safe to repierce my navel? I got it done over a year ago but it SUPER REJECTED. I took out the jewelry Nov. 6th (when I got my nose pierced). There is still a hard bump where the piercing “pinched”. I have a feeling that bump isn’t going to be going away. Let me know!
